A Public Participation Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 8th, at 6 pm at Yarmouth Town Hall, 400 Main Street. All are welcome to attend.
What is the meeting about?
The meeting will cover three topics:
➡ 8 James Street - this pertains to a request from the Affordable Housing Association of Nova Scotia to enter into a Development Agreement to increase the number of permitted dwellings units at 8 James Street (PID# 90337155) with the intent of converting the existing building into twelve (12) affordable housing units.
➡ Proposed Residential Development on Pleasant Street - this involves a request from Grand Multip Properties Inc. to enter into a Development Agreement to permit a new multi-residential development consisting of up to 140 units on two lots (PIDs: 90334798 & 90334780) located directly across from NSCC, Burridge Campus.
➡ 52 Parade Street - this item involves a request from the owner of 52 Parade Street (PID# 90330986) Mohammed Saeme, to enter into a Development Agreement to permit adaptive reuse of the former Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School. The agreement would allow redevelopment of the former school into a range of institutional uses, including a training academy, associated board and accommodation facilities, and a medical clinic.
