Yarmouth is traditionally known as "the gateway to Nova Scotia," and for visitors from the United States, there's nothing like rushing above the waves on your way to our historic town and beautiful shorelines.

Starting the summer of 2016, the CAT ferry is once again zipping passengers between Portland, Maine and Yarmouth. With a crossing time of just 5.5 hours, it takes just half the time that it would to drive – in style! Onboard amenities and features include:

  • the catGift Shop
  • Food Service
  • Movie Lounges
  • kids Play Area
  • Pet Kennels (Call in Advance)
  • Visitor Services Area
