Building or renovating

Depending on the work, you may need more than one permit. Contact the Planning and Development Department to make sure you have all the required permits, forms, and supporting documents. You can complete forms online or print them, fill them out by hand, and deliver them to Town Hall if you prefer. 

Please note: to complete and submit the fillable PDF applications on this site you need Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader from the vendor’s website.

How to submit the PDF forms from your PC

1. Install Adobe Acrobat Reader if you do not already have it.
2. Click the title of the application you need from the list above.
3. When the PDF appears in your browser, click the download icon in the PDF toolbar (usually top-right or bottom-left of the browser window).
4. Save the file to a folder on your computer.
5. Open the saved PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
6. Fill out the form fields.
7. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the form.
8. In the pop-up window, click Continue, then Send.

If you printed and completed the form by hand, deliver it to Town Hall at 400 Main Street during regular business hours. If you need help with a form or have trouble submitting it, contact the  Planning and Development Department
