Emergency Management Office
For larger emergencies, the Emergency Management Office is here to coordinate between different services. Their role is to plan ahead before an emergency occurs, coordinate the provision of the Town and Municipal resources when an emergency occurs, and assist with analysis and evaluation after an emergency.
Police Services
The RCMP Detachment covers the Town of Yarmouth and provides a variety of law enforcement and community-based policing services to the citizens of the Town of Yarmouth, as well as those who access the community as a service centre for southwest Nova Scotia.
Fire Services
The Yarmouth Fire Department is dedicated to fire prevention and the protection of the citizens of Yarmouth.
Health Services
The Yarmouth Hospital provides care to 64,000 people in Shelburne, Yarmouth and Digby Counties. The hospital includes an emergency room and ambulance service.
