Please join us on Wednesday, June 3 at 9:30 am at Yarmouth Town Hall, 400 Main Street for the Access Awareness Week Flag Raising.
Access Awareness Week (May 31-June 6, 2026) is an annual celebration that raises awareness about disability, accessibility, and inclusion while recognizing the contributions and lived experiences of people with disabilities. For 40 years, Nova Scotians have marked the week through community events, flag raisings, forums, and celebrations that highlight the ongoing work toward a more accessible province.
This year's provincial theme is "Disability Justice: Stronger Together, First Voice Leading Change," recognizing the importance of centering lived experience and empowering people with disabilities as leaders in creating meaningful change. Everyone is welcome to attend.
