A public participation meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 8th at 6 pm with the Planning Advisory Committee. Members of the public can register to speak at the meeting or provide written submissions. Registrations to speak, and written submissions, must be received no later than 4:30 pm on Thursday, November 3rd by emailing planningadmin@townofyarmouth.ca or calling 902-742-1505.
The meeting will discuss the following topics:
1. The Town has received an application for rezoning for two lots on Water Street (PIDs 90195280 and 90326125) from waterfront industrial (M-2) to medium density residential (R-2). This requires a Municipal Planning Strategy amendment as well, and previously was reviewed by the Planning Advisory Committee on October 5 (referred back to staff).
2. The Town has initiated amendments to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw to clarify provisions related to Development Agreements and Site Plan Approvals.
3. The Town has initiated amendments to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw to enable transitional and supportive housing projects by Development Agreement, and has received an application for a Development Agreement from Juniper House.
