A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, December 11th, at 6:30 pm in Council chambers, located at 400 Main Street. Members of the public can attend and speak at the hearing, or hand in written submissions. Written submissions can be also emailed to admin@townofyarmouth.ca, or delivered to Town Hall, and must be received by 12 pm (noon) on December 9th, 2025.

The Sale of 341 Main Street (Town-Owned Property)
The Town of Yarmouth will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed sale of town-owned property at 341 Main Street to the Lands End Arts & Culture Society, a not-for-profit organization, for $1. The proposed sale will allow the society to use the building to create an arts and culture hub in the downtown that will see a broad range of offerings that could include music, community-based activities and events, and other offerings within the arts sector.
Under Section 51 of the Municipal Government Act, a public hearing is required when municipal land is sold for less than market value. This provision allows council to approve such sales to support developments that benefit the community. The assessed value of the property in this notice is $795,800.
