Meet the Candidates

As voting starts tomorrow at 9 am, it's time to meet the candidates for the Town of Yarmouth Special Election.

Time to Vote!

Voting begins in the Town of Yarmouth on Thursday, September 9th. By today, September 8th, residents who are eligible to vote should have received their voter letters with instructions on how to cast their vote for one Councillor.

Town Hall Closed Monday, September 6th

Please be advised that Yarmouth Town Hall will be closed on Monday, September 6th for the Labour Day holiday, and will reopen on Tuesday, September 7th. Enjoy your weekend!

Parade Street Project Update

➡ The Brunswick Street/Parade Street intersection will be paved on Saturday, September 4th with the intent to be reopened Saturday night.
➡ Parade Street from School Street to Seminary Street will be closed.
➡ The north sidewalk on Parade will be closed.
➡ The Pleasant Street/Parade Street intersection is now scheduled to be shut down the week of September 13th for at least 3 weeks.
➡ 2-way Traffic on Collins and Seminary Streets will remain in effect.

Transit Notice: No Service on Labour Day

Please be advised that there will be no transit service on Monday, September 6th, in recognition of the Labour Day holiday. Service will resume on Tuesday, September 7th.
