Community Event Calendar

Form a team with your colleagues, friends, family, or anyone over the age of 10. You need at least 20 paddlers (plus a 21st person for pacesetting or drumming), and the total cost per team is just $200 ($20 per paddler). It's a double-elimination tournament, so you'll have more chances to paddle your way to victory! Don't have a team, register as an individual to join the Community Boat!

To register, visit www.yarmouthrecreation.ca/dragon-boat-regatta/ between June 1st and July 12th. Don't forget to nominate a team captain and a local charity from Yarmouth County when you sign up. Win against other teams and add their money to your pool. Win the tournament and your total pool of money will be donated to the charity that you choose! Payment must be completed by July 12th.

Not only will you be racing on the water, but you'll also enjoy a lively party atmosphere on land! The second floor of the Lake Milo Boat House will be opened with seating and standing areas for socializing, and the kitchen will serve snacks and drinks. We’ll also have a food market in the Public Works Parking Lot across the street with local mobile food vendors, so you can grab a bite between races.

Yarmouth Recreation will have giant backyard games like corn hole, washer toss, and more, so your team can have some fun and relaxation during downtime. Our swim area will be open and canoes, kayaks or stand-up paddle boards (SUPs) will be available for rent. Whether you're celebrating a race win or just enjoying the day, there's something for everyone!
