A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, October 10th, 2024, at 6:30 pm in Council chambers, located at 400 Main Street.

Members of the public can attend and speak at the hearing, or hand in written submissions. Written submissions can be emailed to admin@townofyarmouth.ca, or delivered to town hall, and must be received by 12 pm (noon) on October 7, 2024.

What is the Hearing About? 

This Public Hearing will address the following items:

1. Proposed Development Agreement for a residential project adjacent to Myrtle Street

The owner of two lots adjacent to Myrtle Street (PID# 90309790 and PID# 90309782) applied to enter into a Development Agreement to allow for a private, comprehensively planned residential neighbourhood consisting of up to 42 single detached homes.

2. Proposed Development Agreement at 73 Starrs Road

The owner of 73 Starrs Road applied to enter into a Development Agreement to permit subdivision of 73 Starrs Road (PID# 90219023) with the intent to create a landlocked lot.

3. Land Use Bylaw Amendment – Primary Care Pharmacies

In response to provincially led changes that introduced primary level of care at certain pharmacies, the proposed amendment to the Land Use Bylaw seeks to allow participating pharmacies to expand their scope of practice.
