Notice of Approval: Land Use ByLaw Amendments To Rezone 38 Vancouver Street

This is to serve notice that the Council of the Town of Yarmouth, at its meeting on Thursday, December 10th, 2020, at 7:30 pm, approved amendments to its Land Use ByLaw to rezone 38 Vancouver Street from Low Density Residential (R-1) Zone to Medium Density Residential (R-2) Zone.

What are the amendments about?

The rezoning allows the owners of the property to convert the existing building on the property to a three-unit dwelling.

How will this affect me?

➡️ Under Medium Density Residential (R-2) the property owner may now establish housing up to four units in the building instead of only two units as previously permitted under Low Density Residential (R-1).

➡️ The change to R-2 zoning on the property helps enable much-needed housing within town.

Notice of Approval: Council Meetings Bylaw

This is to serve notice that the Council of the Town of Yarmouth, at its meeting on Thursday, December 10th, 2020, at 7:30 pm, approved an amendment to its Council Meetings Bylaw.

The amendment allows Councillors to participate in Council meetings by phone, video, or any means of communication where all persons participating in the meeting are able to communicate with one another.

The effective date of the amendment is the date of publication of this notice.
