Saturday, September 18th will be the date to fill vacant Council seat

Friday, July 9th, 2021 - Yarmouth, N.S. – A special election will be held in the Town of Yarmouth on Saturday, September 18th for the purpose of filling a vacant seat that came about due to the recent passing of Councillor Jim MacLeod. Council unanimously agreed to the date during Thursday evening’s Council meeting.

As per the last four elections voting will be through telephone and Internet only. Advanced polls will open on Thursday, September 9th at 9 am and continue until polls close on the 18th. Nomination day will be Tuesday, August 24th. David Sollows will again serve as Returning Officer.
