Please be advised that extended street closures will again be in place starting Tuesday, April 28th until Friday, May 8th. Please note the following:
➡ Richards Lane will be closed, and Water Street will be closed from Chester Street to Cann Street. The closures will be in effect continuously, day and night.
➡ Local access to all properties will be maintained for the duration of this shutdown. Properties located between 180 and 234 Water Street (Chester Street to Richards Lane) will be accessible via Water Street from the south.
➡ Properties located on Gardner Street and between 236 and 258 Water Street (Richards Lane to Cann Street) will be accessible via Water Street from the north.
➡ Traffic control will be in place. Pedestrians are asked to please follow all construction signs, and to not enter the active construction area. It puts both pedestrians and workers at risk. Please see attached image showing an alternate route using the Yarmouth County Rail Trail.
Once work is completed today, Richards Lane, and Water Street from Chester Street to Richards Lane will reopen. The shutdown of Water Street, between Richards Lane and Cann Street that has been in place over the past number of weeks will remain in place. We thank everyone affected for their continued patience as we complete this important infrastructure project.
