NEW TRAFFIC SIGNALS INSTALLATION – INTERSECTION OF STARRS ROAD AND COTTAGE STREET

Sealed Tenders plainly marked on the envelope "Tender for the Town of Yarmouth – New Traffic Signals, Intersection of Starrs Road and Cottage Street, Contract 091032.00", will be received by the undersigned at the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Yarmouth, 400 Main Street, Yarmouth, NS, B5A 1G2, up to 3:00 p.m., local time, Tuesday, February 23, 2010. All bids shall be submitted on original forms obtained from the tendering authority or Consultant.
This project is located within the Town of Yarmouth and generally consists of a fully-actuated traffic signal system at the intersection of Starrs Road and Cottage Street. The work includes but is not necessarily limited to the following: pavement widening; removal of curb, sidewalk and asphalt pavement; installation of traffic signal bases and direct buried conduit; installation of pre-ordered traffic equipment; supply and placement of signage; concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter construction; laying of topsoil and sod; painting of traffic lines; installation of storm sewer, sluice box complete with lead and utility pole relocations.
Contract Documents may be obtained after 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at the Town of Yarmouth, 400 Main Street, Yarmouth, NS and at CBCL Limited, 1489 Hollis Street, Halifax, NS, upon payment of a $50.00 cheque (HST included) payable to the Town of Yarmouth. Document fee is not refundable. All tender inquires shall be directed to CBCL Limited.
Contract Documents will be available for viewing at the Construction Association of Nova Scotia, Plans Rooms, 260 Brownlow Ave, Unit 3, Dartmouth, NS, the Town of Yarmouth, and at CBCL Limited.
Each Tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque drawn on a Canadian chartered bank or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Total Amount Payable.
The lowest or any Tender may not be accepted. The right is reserved to reject any or all Tenders or to accept any Tender that may be considered in the best interest of the Town of Yarmouth. Late tenders will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
