The Town of Yarmouth will accept applications for financial assistance from non-profit organizations until 4 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2010.  To be considered, all applications must be submitted in accordance with the Town’s Policy Statement.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Notice of a Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that Yarmouth Town Council intends to consider, and if deemed advisable,

1. Amend the Land Use By-law, in particular the Zoning Map, Schedule "A", in order to rezone 4 Cann Street from Medium Density Residential (R-2) to Secondary Commercial (C-3) as outlined in the Planner's report.

2. Amend an existing Development Agreement in order to develop a "Group Home" (home for the youth) at 6 Trinity Place as outlined in the Planner's report.

3. Enter into a Development Agreement in order to develop a High Density Residential (R-3) use (eight (8) units) at 577 Main Street as outlined in the Planner's report.

Copies of the proposed amendments may be inspected by any interested persons at the office of the Town Clerk, 400 Main Street, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday exclusive of holidays or click here to view the agenda with attached amendments.

Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, March 11th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m, in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall to receive all written or oral submissions concerning the proposed amendments. Any written submissions should be filed with the Town Clerk at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the meeting. Please note that any written submissions will become a public document unless otherwise submitted as confidential.
