What I Would LIke to See

As part of the Planners on the Street event, a “What I would Like to See Here” tool was used to stimulate thinking about what types of businesses might be desirable and even viable on Main Street. Attendees were given an opportunity to take pre-printed post-it notes, mark on them what type of business they would like to see on the street and place the stickers on the windows of vacant businesses. Most of those who participated were pupils of Mrs. Purdy’s Grade 6 class, while a few others also contributed to the following list of ideas compiled from the various stickers.

2012 Business Guide

On behalf of the Town of Yarmouth, we are pleased to present to you our new Yarmouth Business Guide that has been published as a tribute to our vibrant business community. In spite of our challenges, Yarmouth has continued to grow during our 250th anniversary celebrations! Since 1761, Yarmouth has proven to the world that we are a community of creative entrepreneurs, whether in our manufacturing base or by utilizing our abundant natural resources on land and in the sea.

I would like to thank the business owners, managers and staff who took the time to contribute their information to this guide.

Town of Yarmouth

This is an exciting time for the Town of Yarmouth. By working together, we can meet today’s challenges and build a better future.”
