Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP)
As part of our overall Municipal Planning Strategy, the Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP) is a long-term plan that we’ve developed in consultation with community members to provide direction for the community's sustainability. We believe that together we have the power to improve our current conditions – not just for the humans who live here, but for every living thing.
Our sustainable future begins when we leverage our position as the regional centre of Southwest Nova Scotia for the economic, social and cultural benefit of the entire region.
- Our diversified economy is expanding in traditional and emerging industries.
- We celebrate our rich history, culture and quality of life.
- Our citizens value our natural environment and engender responsible development and growth.
- We share an optimism for the future, based on a responsible and cohesive foundation.

Yarmouth Waterfront Development Action Plan
Yarmouth's working waterfront is an important contributor to the Town and regional economies. The waterfront is a dynamic entity, demonstrating its ability to adapt to changing times. Now, the waterfront and Water Street are poised for change once more.
A Waterfront Action Plan has been developed from your ideas that were shared through getinvolvedyarmouth.ca and the waterfront symposiums.
Town Council, Waterfront Development Committee, Waterfront Stakeholders and Staff are reviewing the Action Plan to determine project priorities. Future Public Meetings will be held.
