The 7th Annual Tri-County Firefighters Family Fun Day is happening on Saturday, September 14th at the Mariners Centre from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
The day is jam-packed with fun events for kids of all ages, both indoors and out. Admission is
Outside activities include:
Fire Truck Static Display - Fire trucks from
Vehicle Extrication Demonstrations - Members of the Woods Harbour/Shag Harbour Volunteer Fire Department will
Water Games - for kids and adults! Use a real fire hose to put out a mock up fire on a mock up building.
Kids Combat Challenge - This a downsized version of the firefighter combat challenge. An event for
Fire Truck Rides - Yarmouth Fire Department will give free fire truck rides around the Mariners Center. Yup!

84th Field Battery Militia - Members of the local Militia will be in attendance with static displays.
Dept. of Natural Resources Helicopter - Department of Natural Resources will a helicopter on display (subject to being called to service).
Dept. of National Defense (confirmation pending) - Cormorant helicopter for static display.
Yarmouth Big Bounce - HUGE bouncy slide for the kids!
Fire Extinguisher Demos - Learn about the proper use fire extinguishers.
RCMP - Members of the Yarmouth Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be present with a vehicle.
EHS Paramedics (confirmation pending) - Paramedics with Emergency Health Services will be on site with
Dunk Booth! Enough said.
Free Hot Dogs and Water - Members of the Yarmouth Fire Department will give out free BBQ hot dogs and
bottled water (Donations to the Firefighters Museum of NS will
Inside Activities (small arena) include:
Free Ice Cream - Members of the Lake Vaughan Volunteer Fire Department will hand out free ice cream cones to kids.
Fire Prevention Display - Members of the Yarmouth Fire Department will have a fire prevention booth. Firefighters will explain all aspects of fire safety and prevention.
Firefighters Museum - Displays and photos depicting the history of the fire service in Yarmouth.
Chance to Win! While entry and all activities are free we will sell tickets on a chance to win an authentic fire hydrant. We will also accept donations with all proceeds of ticket sales and donations going to the Yarmouth Firefighters Museum of Nova Scotia.
